If you created one of these
and would like to change it to this
You are in luck!
I have created a “TREATS” download!
The original family wall hanging was done using scrape book paper and vinyl letters. For the “TREATS” sign, I turned the original sign around, using the back of each block, designed the letters in Photoshop, and then printed out on glossy photo paper.
Click to download (either .psd or .jpg)

Love those! So clever!! Thanks for the download.
ReplyDeletewow - so cute! thanks for the download. Im going to try to attempt this!

I think my favorite part of this is that when halloween is over, you just flip them back over and never have to store them!
ReplyDeleteThis is an adorable idea! I wanted to let you know that you've been featured in my Wednesday post today! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteCarrie that is so cute! Thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteI added your precious blog button to my sidebar. I appreciate your friendship.
Blessings, ~Melissa :)
What a great idea to flip them around and use the back! Thanks for the download!
ReplyDeleteThose are great!
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind. I linked your post to my PORCH AND GARDEN PARTY at firstadream.blogspot.com.
That is so cute! Great idea, I'm going to make one for myself. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThey look wonderful !
ReplyDeleteWouId you be kind enough to tell me what fonts you used for the words "TREATS" and "FAMILY" I have a cricut and would love to cut them out with vinyl since my printer and computer have been crashed and I cannot seem to get them to be compatible again. I have a piece of left over board from a building project that a neighbor gave me and I thought I could put it on that. I apprecaite your help.
ReplyDeletelaxmom~ The font on the "Family" is a combination of both upper and lower case Chocolate Box Decorative and for the "TREATS" sign I honestly don't remember.
ReplyDeletehi! I love this! How do you attach the rod to the wall without exposed fasteners...,my mind is blanking...
ReplyDeleteTamika~ The rod is setting on two long screws. I only screw them in the wall part way (enough to be sturdy) but still allow the rod to set on the them. With black paint (or the same color as your rod) and a little paint brush it will disappear. You can read more in this post.

I love these. But I have a question....I'm a new crafter. You mentioned cutting the blocks from molding. What are the blocks made of? Sorry for the silly question! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBeth~ I used some old base moulding that was removed from a room makeover. I started by cutting the base moulding into the height that I wanted, each block is between 2.5 to 5 inches. Next, I cut off the decorative top part of the moulding and to give me the over all width. I was just recycling and using what I had around the house. You could always use a 1x3 or 1x4 pine board and cut to your desired height. Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute printable! I'm featuring this on my blog tomorrow with a link to your site!
ReplyDeleteHi Carrie, I just wanted to let you know I featured your blog on my blog greenbrookedesigns.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteNeat...thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love these & am planning on making some for every month... But I have a question...
ReplyDeleteWhen you attached the ribbon to hang, did you glue it to the back or some how attach it to the top of the block? I am guessing the top since you used the backs for "Treat" and if so how did you get it to stay so well.
Thank you in advance!!
Love this! I was wondering where I can get other letters for the download. I want to do last names for my parents and grandparents.
ReplyDeleteI did this at Halloween for my mom using Trick on one side and Treat on the other! That way she can flip it over if she wants! Rookie mistake though I only flipped the blocks over before writing the second word so Treat is spelled backwards! She can still move them on the curtain rod though :D
ReplyDeleteI love this idea and am going to make one for myself. Did you use wide ribbon to hang the boxes to the rod?
ReplyDeleteI love this and am definitely going to make something similar for myself! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteWould there be anything else to use for the blocks? Probably a stupid question but does anyone have any ideas?

ReplyDeleteHello! Found you through pinterest! What a cute idea!! I love it and thank you for the download! :) I love the Family one, too!
ReplyDeleteGreat holiday decor! I'm going to use 1"x4"x4' boards that I got for $.50 each at the cut table scrap bin in Home Depot for $.50 each. I want to make several sets with back-to-back holiday words like Treats & Thanks and Gloria! & Resolve so I can just flip the rod.
ReplyDeleteLove this idea!!!
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me how you hooked the ribbon on?
ReplyDeleteHot glue was used to attach the ribbon to each block.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS!!!! I only have a printer so I am trying to figure out how I should go about making the letters. Carrie, do you have any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteI just love how it says family.
